Isabella, Delaney Matejka graduate college with honors

Former Frazee graduate Isabella Matejka graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science Saturday, May 13, during the North Dakota State University commencement ceremonies. Isabella will begin a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program through University of Jamestown in August. 

Former Frazee graduate Delaney Matejka graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in K-12 Vocal Music Education from Concordia College – Moorhead. The Cobbers held their graduation on Sunday, May 7. 

Delaney received the Clark Tufte Excellence in Preservice Teaching Award the evening prior at the new teacher commissioning ceremony. 

To graduate with honors at both institutions Cum Laude is 3.5 to 3.7; Magna Cum Laude 3.7-3.9; Summa Cum Laude is 3.9-4.0.

Seim named to the BSC President’s Honor Roll

Scott Seim, of Frazee, has been named to the Bismarck State College President’s Honor Roll with a 4.00 GPA for the Spring 2023 semester.

“President Theodore Roosevelt said, ‘Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing.’ We’re so proud of our BSC students who have demonstrated that their academic studies are ‘worth doing.’ Their accomplishments at BSC will serve them well into their future, wherever that takes them,” says BSC President Douglas J. Jensen.

Students must maintain at least a 3.50 grade point on a 4.00 scale while enrolled in at least 12 semester hours of classes to qualify for the BSC President’s Honor Roll.
