Planned installations at the two railroad crossings in town began on Wednesday, June 7. The installations are part of the coming Quiet Zone, a railroad section where train crews do not routinely sound the horn at highway crossings. Establishing Quiet Zones is a minimum 18-month process with the Federal Railroad Administration site. Upon completion and inspection, notices will be sent to residents announcing the date Frazee becomes an official Quiet Zone community.
