Local 4-H youth took a trip “Around the World” at 4-H Junior Camp from June 8-9 at Faith Haven Camp near Battle Lake.

The camp engages campers and counselors in leadership and learning in a safe outdoor environment that encourages exploration, growth, and belonging. Held annually, this year’s theme, “Around the World,” allowed youth to explore cultures and traditions from other countries. In addition to learning about other countries, youth participants engaged in a variety of activities throughout the event including team building, waterfront activities, reflection around a campfire, and more.

The camp was facilitated by youth leaders serving as camp counselors and supported by a team of 4-H staff and adult chaperones. Five counties were represented by the 72 youth that attended. Becker County 4-H had 11 youth attending.
