For those who like a challenge with a snack and a drink, Pitchers, Pizza, Puzzles is a definite stop on the Friday night of Turkey Days at the Frazee VFW.

“This will be our third year and we have grown from 13 teams our first year; last year we had 27 and this year we’re trying for 35,” said event chair Jaden Karger.

The event involves a team of four participants, 21 and up, who have to finish a large Domino’s pizza, a 300-piece puzzle and a dozen pounders.

Cost is $20 per person and the top five winning teams will receive cash prizes.

“It depends on how many teams we get, but usually the first team triples their money, second place doubles,” Karger said.

Pre-registration is preferred. To do so, contact Jaden (218) 396-0638, Dani (218) 329-9438 or Tanner (701) 552-1429.

Walk-ins the day of the event may be possible if space allots, but the event has been fully booked by the start time the past two years.

As of Friday, July 14, there are 17 teams registered.

The popularity of the event also spawned a version for kids in grades 7-12, Pizza, Pop, Puzzles, that will be hosted by CornerStone the same day at 7 p.m.
