Notes from the Chief

Friday, July 21

10:49 a.m. Assist with a motor vehicle crash that happened at St. Hwy 34 and Co. Hwy 29.

6:23 p.m. Officer stopped to assist motorist who was pulled over on US Hwy 10. Driver was attending to the kids in the car.

7:11 p.m. Report of a domestic incident between siblings. Juvenile male taken into custody on an outstanding Clay County warrant.

Saturday, July 22

3:58 p.m. Complaint on Cherry Ave. of loud pipes, squealing tires, loud music and screaming children, ongoing last night and today for 2-3 hours. Officer called the complainant to relay that there was a party going on with city permission.

2:15 a.m. Loud music complaint on Cherry Ave. Revelers turned the music down and went to bed when the officer talked with them.  

Sunday, July 23

7:56 p.m.  Report of a Railroad crossing arm broken and on the tracks. The crossing arm came down as the semi was going across the tracks. BNSF on scene to repair.

Monday, July 24

2:18 p.m. Suspicious items found around a burning pit and yard. Scraps of garbage is about all that the officer found.

3:08 p.m. Complaint that around 15 five-gallon buckets were thrown into the woods by the Frazee Campground. Unknown who left the buckets there. Please contact the PD if you have any information regarding the illegal disposal.

11:58 p.m. Report of a male walking on Co. Hwy 10. Officer gave the male a ride to DL.

Tuesday, July 25

9:41 a.m. Caller reporting a stray dog in their yard. Owner showed up before the officer arrived.

3:52 p.m. Assist with a domestic situation between parents and kids.

5:42 p.m. Report of kids in the new football field/track area. Officer told the kids to leave the area.

Wednesday, July 26

1:08 p.m. Assist with a traffic complaint that happened on St. Hwy 34 and the driver was on Co Hwy 29 due to detour.

1:21 p.m. Report of a tent and vehicle at Eagle Lake Park. Officer and deputy met at the park and told the homeless female that camping was not allowed at the park.

7:21 p.m. Report from an anonymous caller that a dog was outside all day and its water was warm. Officer checked on the canine which was in the shade and had plenty of water. No one home to talk with.

Thursday, July 27

3:41 p.m. Report of a male in the area that had an A and D Order (Apprehend and Detain) from Otter Tail County.  Officer found male and transported Perham and turned over custody to an Otter Tail deputy.

4:40 p.m. Officer found kids swimming from the fishing pier.  Officer told them that swimming was not allowed from the fishing docks and that another violation and they would be sent home for the day.
