Notes from the Chief

Thursday evening, I sent out 14 letters to residents/property owners for city ordinance violations. These violations were for grass and weeds, inoperable vehicles and other public nuisances. The grass and weed violators have 5 days to be in compliance and the others have 30 days. After the 30 days those properties not in compliance will be brought to the Frazee City Council meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 27.

Properties not in compliance may receive citations or be brought up on Abatement Proceedings initiated by the city council. Property owners that bring themselves into compliance will notify the police department and we will determine if enough progress is being made to take them off the naughty list.

Have a nice week!
