The Frazee Hornets split a pair of non-conference games last week after falling to New York Mills 3-2 in their regular season opener, before defeating Park Rapids Area by a score of 3-0 on Thursday afternoon.

On Tuesday night, the Hornets dropped a tough 3-2 game against NY Mills by a score of 3-2.

After losing the opening two games of the night by scores of 25-17 and 25-19, the Hornets charged back in a big way by winning a pair of close games 25-21, 25-22 to force a decisive fifth and final game. Unfortunately, the Eagles were able to get the best of Frazee by a score of 15-10 in the fifth game to come away with the 3-2 win.

The Eagles were able to exact a bit of revenge on Thursday afternoon when they swept the Park Rapids Panthers by a score of 3-0 to pick up their first win of the season.

The Hornets will continue with their non-conference slate of games to open the season on Tuesday when they travel to Lake Park-Audubon, before hosting Perham on Thursday night in their Heart O’ Lakes Conference opener.
