Drop by the Nature Table between 12-3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Glendalough State Park Trail Center when you visit for a fall hike, bike, paddle, or picnic.

The leaf colors should be peaking, and the smells and sounds of fall will be in the air. The beauty of the season means that many changes are happening in the natural world around us.

Explore how animals prepare for the cold days ahead. Some stay active, some get lazy, some migrate, and others sleep the winter away.

The naturalist will have pelts, skulls, live animals, and more for this drop-in, hands-on program. Meet at the trail center by the historic lodge. The program will take place rain or shine.

The program is free, and no registration is required.

A state park permit is required on each vehicle entering the park and can be purchased online at the park entrance or in person at the park office ($7/day pass or $35 annual pass).

For more information, please call the park at (218) 261-6900.
