Five Hornets posted season best times at the annual Perham Yellowjacket Harrier Classic on Thursday afternoon. On a cool October day at Arvig Park in Perham, the Frazee cross country teams competed against several hundred runners from across the state as they prepare for next week’s section meet. 

The Hornets were led by Jonah Sharp who finished in 71st place with a season best time of 18:15.7. Cael Pausch posted a season best time of 18:32.2 to finished in 82 place, while Brady Borah finished with a time of 19:09.9 to finish in 96th place, Ryden Schaefer posted a season best time of 20:40.3 to finished in 127th place, Alex Helmers posted a season best time of 21:20.2 to finish in 130th place and Daniel Winn posted a season best time of 25:48 to finish in 143rd place. 

There were a total of 144 people and 19 teams in the varsity race. The Hornets finished in 19th place as a team with 498 points, which was just behind Little Falls with 478 as the Flyers took 18th place as a team. 

The girls meet was just as large with 128 people competing in the varsity race. The Hornets did not have a complete team in the meet, but were led by Lola Hoehne who finished with a season best time of 22:54.1 to finish in 81st place overall.
