Woman threatened to shoot another Frazee man
A Frazee woman has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony threats of violence and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
According to court records, on Aug. 25, a Becker County deputy responded to a threat reported by a man who said he has lived with Cheri Lee Mayberry, 58, of Frazee.
The man was on his way home when he spoke with Mayberry over the phone. He explained to Mayberry that she should find other living arrangements, and Mayberry ended the call by saying “I’m going to shoot you between the f—— eyes.”
According to the report, the man believed Mayberry was in possession of a sawed-off shotgun. He also owned other firearms that were at his residence.
Mayberry was arrested then released without bail on Monday, Aug. 28. Her release was under standard conditions, including no contact with the man, nor was she allowed to enter his residence, other than a single police escort to the home to retrieve personal items.
Mayberry was previously convicted of gross misdemeanor driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety in 2022 and 2011, three separate DWI convictions, along with a misdemeanor theft conviction in 2016.
