With the help of Tom Watson running the auger, members of the Laurentian Lakes Chapter of the North Country Trail Association installed a kiosk near the entrance to Wannigan Regional Park on Friday, Nov. 3. Wannigan Park is a recreational crossroads as it is where the future Heartland State Trail extension will meet the Otter Tail River State Water Trail and the North Country Trail. The North Country National Scenic Trail is the longest in the National Trails System, stretching 4,800 miles across eight states from North Dakota to Vermont.
