The first Saturday in December will be a holiday-themed community collaborative event around Frazee with the majority of the Merry Frazee Christmas congregations based at the Event Center.
The day begins at 8 a.m., with a craft and vendor show that coincides with Breakfast with Santa until 11 a.m. The craft show runs until 1 p.m., while Santa will be on hand until 11 a.m.
Kids crafts, sponsored by the FHS Interact Club, student council and Native American Clubs, begins at 10 a.m., along with the Detroit Lakes Rotary book Giveaway and the Elf on a Shelf Scavenger Hunt around town. The first clue will be given at the Event Center.
A Reindeer Cupcake Walk also begins at 10 a.m. and continues until gone.
CornerStone Youth and Community Center will provide a holiday lunch from 12-2 p.m., to tide over diners until the hot dish competition and bake sale from 4-6 p.m.

Hot dishes should be brought to the Event Center at 3:30 p.m. There will be a free will offering, public samples and voting with prizes awarded.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in attendance during the bake sale and hot dish contest from 4-6 p.m.
The Event Center is the pick-up and drop off location for horse drawn trolley rides from 4:15-6:15 p.m.
The Palace Cafe will be serving hot chocolate, coffee and cookies beginning at 5 p.m. and lasting through the Snow Plow Parade.
A reading of the Christmas Story and live nativity will be located at the corner lot on Main Avenue from 5:15-6 p.m.
The Snow Plow parade begins at 6:15 p.m. Those participating should line up at 5:30 p.m. on West Main Avenue between Harvest Church and the demo derby grounds.
Immediately following the parade, CornerStone is hosting Christmas movie night until 9 p.m., for kids fourth grade and up.
Evening events include Pizza, Puzzles and Beer beginning at 7 p.m., at the Event Center.
Holiday drinks, giveaways and karaoke with DJ Matt Bachmann is from 7-11 p.m., at Third Crossing Bar and the VFW Post 7702 Club will be serving hot buttered rums all day.

Just outside of town, Karinall Estates will be the site of another Merry Christmas gathering from 7-9 p.m. A cover of $10 includes a choice of drink, hot chocolate, hot buttered rum or a Tom & Jerry. There will also be Christmas cookies, treats and popcorn. A donation of $3 is suggested for additional drinks, $1 for hot chocolate. Local artists will be performing Christmas carols and tours of the estate will be available throughout the evening.
All events are at the Event Center aside from where noted otherwise.
