Grace Hamm improved to 8-2 on the season and placed fourth at the Bemidji Blue Ox girls wrestling tournament over the weekend.

Hamm secured a 7-4 decision over Kaci Brannan of St. Michael-Albertville in the opening round of the tournament, before getting a pin in the quarterfinals over Maggie Bernu of Brainerd at the 1:40 mark of the match. 

In the semi-finals, Hamm fell to Madelyn Strohmayer of Aitkin by a pin at the 3:20 mark of the match to drop her to the consolation bracket. Strohmayer would go on to place second in the tournament. 

Hamm bounded back in a big way with a quick pin over Brooklyn Nielsen of Bemidji in just 36 seconds to qualify for the third place match.

Unfortunately, Hamm fell to Kaylee Endres of Wadena-Deer Creek by a fall at 2:20 to finish in fourth place in the 124 lbs. bracket.
