The council unanimously approved changing the meeting date.

Brian Selander displayed his Bison horns, made a confetti angel and helped the North Dakota State University marching band at the championship game in Texas. The New York Mills resident began teaching band for the Frazee-Vergas School District after graduation from NDSU in 2010. As a Bison alumnus, Selander volunteered to help the marching band director for a few years before being brought on as an assistant director two years ago. His job is comparable to an assistant coach—he makes sure the rooms are booked; equipment is checked and loaded on the bus, and all the logistics are taken care of prior to departing for the big championship game in Frisco, Texas.

Marine Innovations recently added two high-tech pieces of machinery, which created another job. The Frazee-based business builds and installs state-of-the-art incline elevators for residential and commercial properties. Company president Mike Botzet explained the two new machines allow the company to cut parts in-house, as well as bend them as needed. The OMAX JetMachine Center, which cuts parts, was put though a test run last week using a water jet/grit sand combo.

There are still a number of debtors who will be paying off monies to the Co-op, Hockett said, so it will be some time yet before all the equity can be repaid to patrons.
