Elsie Ratz and Addy Laux placed first and second in the all-around category to lift the Detroit Lakes gymnastics over Fergus Falls last Tuesday night. Ratz finished the all-around in first place with 35.40 points, while Laux finished with 34.55 points. The Lakers edged by Otters by a 137.5-131.75 margin. 

Laux, Ratz and Morgan Hausten swept the top three spots in the vault with scores of 9.4, 9.35 and 9.05 to set the tone for the Lakers in their first home meet of the season. 

It was more of the same for the Lakers in the bars as they swept the top four spots with Ratz taking the top spot with a score of 8.7, Laux took second with a score of 8.6, Hausten placed third with a score of 8.5 and Kate Taves took fourth place with a score of 8.2.

On the beam, Taves took the top spot for the Lakers with a score of 8.8, while Laux was right on her heels with a score of 8.3 to finish in second place. Hausten and Ratz tied for fourth place with a score of 8.2.

In the floor routine, Ratz captured first place with a score of 9.15, while Ava Morrison placed fourth with a score of 8.6 and Laux took sixth with a score of 8.25.
