Creating Community Consulting (CCC), a leading woman-owned consultancy service based in West Central Minnesota specializing in community development and engagement, is excited to announce a significant development in its growth and leadership team.

Megan Jenson, who has been an integral part of Creating Community Consulting since its inception, is now taking on an elevated role as a Co-owner and Consultant. Her commitment to fostering positive change and her collaborative approach have been instrumental in the consultancy’s success in empowering communities through strategic solutions.

Founded by Karen Pifher, Creating Community Consulting has flourished over the past two years, establishing itself as a trusted partner for organizations and communities across the Upper Midwest seeking sustainable development and effective engagement strategies.

Creating Community Consulting has allocated over $1.5 Million to support organizations and has created system, policy and environmental changes that enhance wellbeing since May of 2022 by implementing people-centered solutions. CCC has also contributed to local communities through donating over 200 hours of professional services in communities where they serve. CCC works primarily in partnership with government agencies, schools, non-profits, and coalitions in Greater Minnesota and North Dakota primarily.

The consultancy’s commitment to excellence and positive change has resulted in steady growth, with the team expanding to include 4 full-time employees and 4 part-time employees with half of their staff located in Frazee and the other half in Moorhead.

As we celebrate moving into our second full year of operations, we reflect on the opportunity to serve and how that has brought meaningful change and has improved wellbeing in communities,” Pifher said.
“Megan has been a driving force in Creating Community Consulting since the beginning. Her dedication, insights, and passion for community development have been evident in every project she has undertaken. Together, we look forward to continuing our journey, and building stronger and more connected communities.”

Some of the projects that Megan has been involved in during her first year include strategic planning support with Creating a Hunger Free North Dakota as they began their relaunch as a state-wide coalition, supporting capacity building and grant writing for ESHARA a local

nonprofit focused on supporting all new Americans across Fargo-Moorhead, and facilitating community member feedback sessions to build local solutions that work for people in North Dakota and Minnesota around mental health and wellbeing.

“I am thrilled to continue to contribute to the success of Creating Community Consulting,” said Jenson. “We are working hard to build a team culture of holistic support and wellness and I am grateful for our team of intelligent, caring women who have allowed us to do this. We do this all while helping communities and nonprofits build capacity to create community solutions. This is what makes Creating Community Consulting special, and I’m grateful to be a part of it!”

Creating Community Consulting remains dedicated to its mission to engage communities to improve wellbeing. With the expanded team and leadership, CCC is poised to make an even greater impact in communities moving forward.
