0The Northern Minnesota Robotics Conference (NMRC) will be holding its annual “Week 0” event for regional High School Robotics teams in Brainerd, on Saturday Feb 17. The event will be held in the gymnasium at Riverside Elementary School which is located at 220 NW 3rd St, Brainerd, MN 56401.
This is the NMRC’s 2nd annual “Week 0” event which will showcase robots from 24 teams from across Northern Minnesota and North Dakota. It will be the first opportunity of the season for teams to come together and compete to see just how good their new creations are. It serves as the launching point for the six week long competition season which will feature major events in Duluth, Grand Forks, and St. Cloud here in our territory.
Doors will open at 7:30 a.m., on Saturday. Admission is free and open to the public. This event is great for families and kids as they will have a chance to watch matches, walk through the pits, and speak to teams about their robots.
The event is expected to continue throughout the day with a lunch break from 12:00-1 p.m., and the final matches concluding around 4 p.m.. Concessions will be available on site.
