After approving the bidding issuance process for the upcoming roofing construction projects at both schools in January, the board has accepted a bid at the School Board’s monthly meeting Monday, Feb. 12.

Collin Rehbein of ICS Consulting, Inc.. reviewed the bids received and confirmed the low bid was valid and recommended the acceptance of the bid and entering into a contract with Buttweiler’s Do All, Inc. for $957,620.00.

The project was adopted as part of the district’s long-term facility maintenance plan (LTFM) at a special board meeting held on June 27, 2022.

A roof analysis was completed by Herzog Roofing to bring the district’s roofs up to date and found 80 percent of the roofs were no longer under warranty.

The roof project is spread out over a five-year plan based on greatest need first. Total estimated cost for the adhered roofing system project in 2022 was $1.1 million.
