Heartland Symphony Orchestra spring concert series April 6-7

0The Heartland Symphony Orchestra will be closing its 47th season with their Spring Concert Series “Shall We Write?” With this theme in mind, HSO’s 2024 Composition Competition winner Robin Butler’s original work, Wings of Freedom will be performed by Heartland Symphony Orchestra as part of the series.
Soloist Miriam Webber, Principal Bassoon, will also be featured in the world premiere of the orchestra setting of Lindsey Wiehl’s The Letter and the Envelope. In addition, the program will include Finlandia, Pomp & Circumstance March No. 4, as well as selections from My Fair Lady.
Heartland Symphony Orchestra is a 50-piece volunteer, nonprofit, community orchestra serving the communities of Brainerd and Little Falls. The concerts will take place on Saturday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Little Falls at the Charles D. Martin Auditorium of Little Falls Community High School, and on Sunday, April 7 at 2:30 p.m. at Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts in Brainerd.
Conductor Chats will be held 45 minutes prior to each concert. All ages welcome. No tickets necessary. Admission is free with donations graciously accepted at the door or online at www.heartlandsymphony.com
These concerts are made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Five Wings Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. In Little Falls, the Laura Jane Musser Fund provides additional support.
