The Detroit Lakes Shriners will be hosting its 28th Shrine Circus with three shows on April 9. The three shows will be held at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

This year the local Shriners will have a new circus promoter, Carden Shrine Circus Extreme, who will continue the goal of entertaining the lakes area. The Detroit Shrine Circus has a long-standing tradition in the lakes area and each year it fills the lives of thousands of families with excitement and happiness.

The Carden Circus, which is enjoyed by both children and adults, will have elephants, camels, horses, clowns, BMX bikes, contortionist trapeze, a laser show, and jugglers just to name a few of the 19 different acts.

Center ring will have all the old and a few new activities for the family—elephant rides, camel rides, pony rides, face painting photos with Bumblebee from the Transformers and a circus train.

Ticket prices are $10 for school age children through adults. Preschool children are free. Tickets will be available at the door one hour before the show or at Central Market until the day of the show.
