Hike, silent auction, meal and guest speaker

Members of the Laurentian Lakes Chapter of the North Country Trail will be holding their annual meeting in Frazee at the Event Center Saturday, May 11. The North Country Trail will be connected to other trails in Wannigan Regional Park as the park continues to evolve.

Join the Laurentian Lakes Chapter at the Frazee Event Center, Saturday, May 11.

Schedule of events:

A guided chapter hike will leave from Lion’s Park at 2 p.m. This will be about a 4-mile hike through Frazee and Wannigan Regional Park.

• 5 p.m. Social – Check out the silent auction featuring outdoorsy items and unique local artisans’ products. All proceeds will go toward building, and maintaining the North Country Trail (NCT).

• 5:30 p.m. Annual Laurentian Lakes Chapter business meeting

• 6 p.m. Lucky Buck. Auction (bring some $1 bills!)

• 6:30 p.m. Dinner/Speaker – Enjoy a presentation on the Management of our forests, which is a critical issue along our trail by Mike Lichter, DNR Area Forest Supervisor

• 7:30 p.m. Silent Auction closes

Costs: Dinner is $25/person (bring a friend!) RSVP required for dinner.
