The Branden family of Frazee was recently awarded the Community Spirit Individual Award at the United Way of Becker County’s Celebration of Heroes on Thursday, April 25, at the Detroit Lakes Holiday Inn.

Dylan and Tabiatha and daughters: Maddie, Audrenna and Johannah, were honored for showing up for their community in numerous ways, according to Becker County United Way Board President Cody Einerson.

The family was lauded for their many volunteer acts and hours spent at CornerStone Youth and Community Center.

“This family goes above and beyond to show up for their communities,” CornerStone shared in a social media post. “We personally get to witness all the care and dedication toward our organizations with countless hours of volunteering with construction projects, cleaning, organizing, supervising and helping with numerous events. We have also witnessed this family do many pay-it-forward activities. Non-profit organizations depend on so many helping hands to thrive and this is exciting to see young leaders participating in this vital role! Thank you to everyone who is giving of your time, talents and gifts!”

Tabiatha is also leading this year’s Turkey Days Festival as the event’s Chair and was co-Chair of the 2023 festival.

“They are constantly doing pay-it-forward type deeds and are one of the go-to town people for ideas and support,” said Einerson.
