Pitching was a bit of a premium for the Frazee Hornets last week as they had five games in just four days as the Hornets near the end of the regular season.

On Monday the Hornets fell to the top ranked team in the QRF in Parkers Prairie by a score of 13-2, before splitting a pair of games against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton by scores of 6-5 and 20-2. On Thursday the Hornets split another Heart O’ Lakes Conference doubleheader as they defeated Hawley by a score of 6-4 and fell to the Nuggets by a score of 5-0.

The Hornets are currently 4-9 overall and will host Barnesville in a doubleheader on Thursday.

The Frazee Hornets hosted senior day during their doubleheader against Hawley last week. Seniors and their parents include: Drew Mekalson (Dena and Andy Mekalson), Logan Brekke (Paula Mickelson and not pictured Shawn Brekke), Will Olson (Missy and Justin Olson), Jesse Rollins (Janel Leritz and Kevin Rollins), Derek Zitzow (Wendy and Jeff Zitzow) and Cael Pausch (Amber and Jamie Pausch).

Monday

Frazee committed six errors, which led to five unearned runs as the Parkers Prairie Panthers were able to come away with a 13-2 win on Monday night. The big difference in the game came in a five run fourth inning and four run bottom of the sixth inning, including a walk-off two-run home run to end the game by the 10-run rule.
