The Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Detroit Lakes Clinic is proud to welcome Molly Anderson, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner specializing in behavioral health.

“I have worked with so many amazing people in my years at Essentia,” said Anderson, who has been a nurse with Essentia for almost 14 years. “Essentia provides a sense of community, acceptance and belonging.”

Of her new position, Anderson explained: “This is an opportunity to be a part of the community’s health. I couldn’t pass it up. I don’t just work in this community; I live here and am raising a family as well.”

Anderson received her medical education from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

“I chose mental health because of my own experiences in life,” added Anderson. “No matter what area of nursing you are in, from long-term care to a walk-in clinic, mental health is a part of every person’s patient experience and the interactions that follow.”
