Gracie Fales shot a 116 at the HOL Conference meet at Balmoral Golf Course last week.

The Frazee girls golf team had one meet this past week and it was the final Heart O’ Lakes Conference meet for this season on May 20 at Balmoral Golf Course. It was a very comfortable temperature with cloud cover and light winds which made for ideal playing conditions.

Emma Wiseman had a great day and beat her career low from last week by one shot with an 18-hole score of 90, which was good for fifth place on the day. Sophie Cook was the individual medalist with a great score of 74 as she was the individual champion of the HOL for the season which is based on scoring averages at HOL tournaments. The top 16 make all-conference and Wiseman came in with the seventh best average in the conference which earned her a third straight all-conference selection. 

Other scores for the Hornets were Rylee Stock with a 108, Gracie Fales had a 116, Ella Perala and Lilly Adams both had a 118, and Onalea Maijala had a 123.

Hawley secured the season long race for the team HOL title with another first place finish on the day. Barnesville was second, followed by Perham, DGF, Frazee, Pelican Rapids and Breckenridge. The Hornets finished fifth on the day and the season to edge out Pelican Rapids in a close battle with the Vikings all season.

The Frazee golfers are off until Section 8AA action on June 3-4 at Bemidji Town & Country Club.
