Tamrac Refuge to host upcoming summer events

Saturday, June 15, 9 a.m.
Hike with the North Country Trail Association members. Hike from Blackbird Wildlife Drive to 400th Ave., 4.5 miles. Meet at 400th Ave Trailhead and organizers will shuttle people to starting point. This hike includes the magical boardwalk through the boreal bog. June 19, 9 a.m. Hike from county Hwy 26 to 400th Ave., 5.2 miles. Meet at the 400th Ave Trailhead and ride the shuttle to the starting point.

Movie: Wings of Life – Celebrate Pollinator Week! Narrated by Meryl Streep, this intimate and unprecedented look at butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, bats and flowers is a celebration of life. One-third of the world’s food supply depends on these incredible creatures. 80 min.

Movie: American Arctic Vast, wild, and untouched, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is where some of the world’s greatest wildlife spectacles unfold. Situated in the northeast corner of Alaska, this refuge has long protected survivors of the Ice Age that still roam a frozen wilderness. 55 min.
