Held at local libraries July 18 and 24

Drawing is out-of-this-world! On July 18 and July 24, Lake Agassiz Regional Library will host virtual drawing classes featuring award-winning cartoonist Rick Stromoski. In this out-of-this world class Rick will demonstrate how to draw planets, aliens, astronauts and more! This virtual class will be offered in two sessions, the first scheduled Thursday, July 18 at 2 p.m. and the second scheduled Wednesday, July 24 at 2 p.m. The virtual programs can be accessed at larl.org/drawspace with no registration required.

Those wishing to participate in-person are invited to in-person watch and draw parties with drawing supplies provided at the following libraries:

In-Person Watch Parties will be held on Thursday, July 18 at 2 p.m. at the following locations:

• Bagley Public Library

• Moorhead Public Library

• Barnesville Public Library

• Mahnomen Public Library

• Detroit Lakes Public Library

• Hawley Public Library

These programs are offered free-of-charge thanks to funding from the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund. 

Lake Agassiz Regional Library is offering an outer space-themed Summer Library Experience to youth of all ages this summer. The program will include a reading challenge with the opportunity for participants to win prizes and a series of enriching programs for children.  More information can be found at larl.org/explore.
