In their lone meet of the week, the Frazee Hornets traveled just down the road to Detroit Lakes for the annual Detroit Lakes Rotary Invitational. The meet featured some much larger schools than Frazee, but the Hornets put up several solid times to post some impressive early season finishes.

On the girls side, Madi Perrine led the way in 59th place with a time of 24:13.40, while Lola Hoehne was right on her tail in 67th place with a time of 24:36.04. Brooklyn Riewer took 81st place with a time of 26:48.72 and Caleigh Pausch took 82nd place with a time of 28:04.11.

On the boys side, Jonah Sharp came close to breaking the 19 minute mark as he finished with a time of 19:15.49, which was good enough for 45th place overall. Paul Sharp took 74th place with a time of 21:00.54, Talon Haverson took 79th place with a time of 21:41.76. Eli Heston took 86th place with a time of 23:02.08 and Nolyn Prellwitz rounded out the team score with a time of 25:40.32 to finish in 89th place. 

This week the Hornets competed in a meet at Long Prairie-Grey Eagle on Monday in their lone action of the week.
