Lake Agassiz Regional Library is encouraging the public to join their local library for presentations on the history and culture of Indigenous people of Minnesota, including Ojibwe culture, contributions to history and an overview of Indigenous military services and the Code Talkers. The tour will feature Travis Zimmerman, historian and site manager for the Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post in Onamia, Minn.

The tour is sponsored by Lake Agassiz Regional Library and will include visits to the following locations:

• Detroit Lakes Public Library, 1000 Washington Ave., on Monday, Sept. 23 at 2 p.m.

• Moorhead Public Library, 118 5th St. S., on Monday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m.

• Ulen-Hitterdal School, 27 2nd St. NW, on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 2 p.m.

• Crookston Public Library, 110 N. Ash St., on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m.

• Mahnomen High School, 201 S. 1st St. on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 10:30 a.m.
