The Detroit Lakes Public Library will offer a Genealogy Class geared for beginners on Monday, Sept. 30 from 5-6:30 p.m. The workshop will introduce family history newbies to the free genealogy resources available at the library. Genealogy is a journey of self-discovery that can teach the researcher as much about themselves as it does those who came before – let the library help you start your story! The class is offered free-of-charge but registration is required. Those interested can register online at larl.org/events or call the library at 218-847-2168.
