Otter Tail County has announced the launch of a new, user-friendly webpage dedicated to ditches and drainage systems. This online resource gives the public easy access to important information, documents and services related to the county’s extensive drainage infrastructure.

The new webpage is part of the county’s ongoing efforts to provide residents, visitors, contractors, and local officials with access to resources. It is organized for easy navigation, allowing users to quickly find information about Otter Tail County’s ditches and drainage systems. Key features of the webpage include:

• Detailed Drainage System Information: Learn about Otter Tail County’s network of ditches, including locations, maintenance schedules, and record updates.

• Easily Accessible Documents: All key documents, including maps, ditch viewer and inspection reports, notices for meetings and hearings, and meeting minutes, are readily available in a centralized location.

• Interactive Tools: The webpage includes interactive maps and tools that allow users to explore ditches and drainage systems throughout the county.

• Public Notifications: Subscribe to updates on a particular ditch system to stay informed about upcoming projects, maintenance schedules, and other important announcements.

• Online Resources: The department webpage also offers instructional videos, FAQs, and regulations related to drainage systems and environmental management.

“The new website is more organized and easier to navigate for pertinent information. Soon, historical information on the establishment of these ditches and recorded maintenance and improvements will be added to the pages,” said Colby Palmersheim, Otter Tail County ditch inspector. “The website will not replace legally required posted, mailed and published notices, but will be another effort to keep landowners informed of what is going on with their ditch.”
