Emergency medicine specialist joins Essentia Health

The Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Detroit Lakes Clinic has welcomed Paige Feist, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine to its staff.

“I chose Essentia Health because I felt aligned with the mission to make a healthy difference in people’s lives,” said Feist, a Detroit Lakes native who joined Essentia as a registered nurse three years ago. “I was drawn to practice in Detroit Lakes because I enjoy rural health care and wanted to serve the people of this community.”

Of her decision to continue at Essentia, Feist said: “Essentia Health is a great organization that encourages employees to continue learning.”

Feist received her education from Maryville University in St. Louis, Mo. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

“I am a family nurse practitioner and chose this specialty because I enjoy caring for all ages of patients, from newborns to older adults in all aspects of health care,” said Feist.

Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Detroit Lakes has welcomed Sydney Eckhoff, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner specializing in emergency medicine to its staff.

“I enjoy helping others and making a positive impact on people’s lives,” said Eckhoff, a Perham native. “Essentia has values as a health care team that I felt were aligned with my goals.”

Eckhoff received her education from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

“The majority of my nursing background is critical care,” said Eckhoff. “When I saw the opening for an emergency provider close to Perham, I felt it was a good fit. I am here to listen and provide support to all patients. A patient’s well-being is my top priority.”
