The Frazee Hornets made the trek to Hawley on Thursday night for the annual Dale Skallerud Invitational. There were a total of 22 teams competing in the race, which featured a mixture of Minnesota and North Dakota schools. 

Leading the charge for the boys team was Jonah Sharp who took 42nd place overall with a season best time of 19:02. Paul Sharp finished in 78th place with a time of 20:26, while Talon Hoverson was the third and final Hornet to cross the finish line as he finished in 79th place with a season best time of 20:29.

On the girls side, Brooklyn Riewer led the way with a 52nd place and a season best time of 23:07. Lola Hoehne finished in 61st place with a time of 23:25, Madi Perrine finished in 63rd place with a season best time of 23:41, Bristol Larsen finished in 90th place with a season best time of 25:23 and Caleigh Pausch finished in 102nd place with a season best time of 26:15. 

As a team the girls placed 15th out of 16 complete teams with a score of 335. They were just behind Pelican Rapids and Nevis with 332 points, who tied for 13th place overall. The boys team ran as an incomplete team in the race. 

The Hornets have just one meet on tap this week as they will travel to Perham to participate in a meet at Arvig Park. The racing will get underway at 4 p.m.
