0Frazee to host Barnesville on Thursday

The Frazee Hornets split a pair of games last week as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Menahga on Monday night, while falling to Perham by a score of 3-1 on Thursday night. Currently the Hornets are 11-9 overall and 3-2 in the Heart O’ Lakes Conference.
This week Frazee will travel to Breckenridge for the first of a pair of HOL games, before returning home on Thursday to host the Barnesville Trojans in another HOL matchup.
Monday
Ruby Eckert had a huge game at the net as the freshman finished with 12 kills and junior hitter Jayden Sonnenberg chipped in with nine kills of her own as the Frazee Hornets defeated the Menahga Braves by a score of 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-12) last Monday night. The win was the 11th of the season for the Hornets as they gear up for the final few weeks of regular season action.
Senior setter Hailee Olson finished with 30 assists, while Katie Courneya finished with a team-high 12 digs in the win.
Analise Olson finished with four ace serves in the win to lead the charge for Frazee.
Last Monday night was also senior night for the Hornets as they recognized five seniors including Emma Wiseman, Sophia Strand, Hailee Olson, Onalea Maijala and Lillian Adams for their contributions to the program through the years.

Thursday
Frazee dropped just its second conference game of the season on Thursday night as the Hornets dropped a close one to Perham by a score of 3-1.
After falling in the first game by a score of 25-21, the Hornets roared back in the second game to reverse their fortune and win by a score of 25-21 to knot the match up at one game apiece. Unfortunately, the Yellowjackets were able to get the best of the Hornets in a tight 25-22 game in the third game, before coming away with a 25-17 win in the fourth game to come away with a 3-1 win.
Frazee was led offensively by a balanced scoring attack that featured Jayden Sonnenberg and Ruby Eckert each finishing with seven kills apiece, while Brynn Larson and Hailee Olson each finished with six kills. In addition to her six kills, Olson led the team with 20 assists and tied Katie Courneya with a team-high 11 digs. Sophia Strand also had a busy night on the defensive end of the court as she finished with nine digs.
Jayden Sonnenberg finished with a team-high four ace serves, while Aynslee Johannsen and Eckert each finished with three ace serves.
