Angela Tate and her family Dustin, Della and Dax, were recipients of the Hornets for a Cure fundraiser that donated nearly $5,000 to the Stand by Me Foundation.

All proceeds ($4,800) were donated to local charity Stand By Me Foundation. Founded by the Helmers family during their son Vincent’s treatment for brain cancer, Stand By Me supports families in an attempt to alleviate having to worry about the financial consequences of their decision to be together during treatment.

Action Fabricating, Inc., of Detroit Lakes sponsored the teams and event by donating 2,600 T-shirts that stated “Hornets for a Cure” for all children in volleyball and football grades 7-12.

Angela Tate and her family, husband Dustin, son Dax and daughter Della, were one of the recipients that received funds from the Stand By Me Foundation.

Angela has been battling colon cancer since early 2022 and has been an inspiration to many as she chronicles the ups and downs of dealing with the disease on social media.
