Frazee eighth grader Grace Hamm captured first place at the Dennis Kaatz girls wrestling tournament on Saturday at Wadena-Deer Creek. Hamm was dominant on the mat on her way to a perfect 3-0 day, which included a pair of pins and a tech fall.

In the opening round of the tournament, Hamm secured a pin over Alora Green of Thief River Falls at the 3:05 mark of the match. In the semi-finals she secured a pin at the 3:16 mark of the match against previously unbeaten Grace Thorp of Otter Tail Central to advance to the championship match.

In the championship, Hamm secured a 17-1 tech fall at the 2:41 mark of the match over Elizabeth Rademacher of Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa to come away with first place at 130 lbs.

In addition to Hamm, Lola Hoene and Sierra Aufdenkamp secured sixth place finishes at 136 lbs. and 155 lbs. respectively.
