The Frazee Fly Girls competed in Alexandria on Saturday. They came back with strong improvements from break showing their best performances of the season so far.

Junior Varsity Jazz placed eighth out of eight teams. The Varsity Jazz placed seventh out of 10 teams and Varsity Kick placed sixth out of nine teams.

Varsity kick finished with an overall score of 271 – their highest score of the season. Head coach Hailey Brower said the biggest improvement in categories came in placement and control, degree of accuracy, and routine effectiveness. This means the dance is overall looking sharper and better executed than before they went into break.

The Fly Girls have a tough schedule ahead over the next few weeks as they will be competing against some of the Top 12 teams in the state from State Jazz and Kick last season. This week, the Fly Girls have Jazz Conference in Crosby on Thursday, Jan. 9 and St. Cloud Cathedral on Saturday, Jan. 11.

Next week is Conference Championships in Hawley on Friday, Jan. 17 followed by a trip to ROCORI on Saturday, Jan. 18. Looking forward to continue to push towards a top three placement in section standing before sections on February 1.
