Brynn Larson scored 20 points in Friday night’s game.

The Hornets held a commanding 58-20 lead at halftime and then managed to outscore the visiting Rams 38-12 in the second half.

Jayden Sonnenberg outscored the entire Roseau team in both the first and second half by herself as she scored 22 points in the first half (compared to 20 for the Rams) and 16 points in the second half (compared to 12 for the Rams) to lead the charge for the Hornets.

Brynn Larson came close to achieving that same feat in the first half as she scored 14 points in the first half alone thanks to four 3-pointers on her way to a 20 point night. Hailee Olson scored 11 points, Katie Courneya scored 10, Ruby Eckert scored eight points, Ellie Trieglaff scored five points, Aynslee Johannsen scored four points and Kendra Thon rounded out the scoring with two points.

With the win, as well as Saturday’s 71-29 win over Warroad, the Hornets improved to 8-5 overall and are currently 3-4 in the Heart O’ Lakes Conference. Frazee will travel to Pelican Rapids on Tuesday night, before hosting Ada-Borup West on Friday night in Frazee.
