Area kids ages 9-14 competed in the Knights of Columbus 2025 Free Throw Championship on Sunday, Jan. 19 at the Frazee High School.
The Sacred Heart Council #12581 of the Knights of Columbus held their 2025 Free Throw Championship on Sunday, Jan. 19 at the Frazee High School. The event drew area kids between the ages of 9-14 to showcase their basketball shooting skills.
Champions in the girls’ division were Marie Sharp, Winter Mitchell, and Nora Anderson.
Boys’ division champions were Carson Courneya, William Davis, Matthew Sharp, and Jace Mekalson.
Each of these winners is now eligible to compete in the district competition to be held on Sunday, Feb. 16 at Holy Rosary School in Detroit Lakes, with an eye toward moving on to the regional and state levels.
