Essentia Health is making it easier for people approaching the age of 65 to learn about EssentiaCare, which is a Medicare Advantage plan from Essentia Health and UCare. 

Essentia Health will be hosting several “EssentiaCare Medicare Basic” webinars in February and March. During these free sessions, Essentia patients can learn more about Medicare and available insurance options. They will occur:

• Reviewing the four parts of Medicare and what each one covers.

• Finding out what plans are available.

• Understanding enrollment timelines.

EssentiaCare combines low-cost coverage and high-quality health care and is available to people who live in an 11-county service area in Minnesota, including Aitkin, Becker, Carlton, Cass, Clay, Crow Wing, Hubbard, Itasca, Lake, Pine and St. Louis counties. It’s also available in Bayfield, Douglas and Washburn counties in Wisconsin. Members can receive in-network care at any Essentia Health hospital or clinic in Minnesota, Wisconsin or North Dakota.
