Frazee shot 49 percent from the floor and were able to overcome 17 turnovers as they defeated the Lake Park-Audubon Raiders by a score of 68-63 on Tuesday night. The Hornets and Raiders were tied at 35-35 at halftime and Lake Park-Audubon led midway through the second half, before Frazee took over and closed out the game on a solid note for the victory.

Head coach Ryan Vigen said the Hornets didn’t have their best stuff in the game, but did a better job in the second half of attacking the basket and getting the ball inside to senior Carter Sonnenberg.

Despite Frazee dominating the points in the paint with a 48-26 advantage and outrebounding the Raiders 48-30, Lake Park-Audubon was able to stay in the game thanks to nine 3-pointers, compared to just two for the Hornets.

The Hornets were led offensively by Carter Sonnenberg who scored 21 points and pulled down a team-high 13 rebounds. Asher Blaine scored 15 points and finished with eight rebounds, while Adam Vigen had a solid night as he finished just two assists shy of a triple-double as he scored 13 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and had eight assists.

Noah Mekalson scored eight points and finished with eight rebounds, while Andrew Aho had six points, Benjamin Reierson  and Dawson Lyman each scored two points and Ayden Grossman finished with one point.
