Frazee man airlifted after leaping from moving vehicle

0A 31-year-old Frazee man and passenger of a Ford Windstar leapt from the vehicle while it was moving and sustained serious injuries Wednesday, March 5, on Highway 34 east of Detroit Lakes, according to a press release from the Minnesota State Patrol.
According to the release, the State Patrol responded to a report of a passenger jumping from a Windstar at 6:30 p.m. while traveling eastbound on State Highway 34 near Highland Drive.
The driver, Emmylou Johnson, 40, of Frazee was stopped and cited for driving after revocation.
The man, whose name was not immediately released, was airlifted to a Fargo hospital with serious injuries.
Two other passengers, ages 18 and 5, were in the vehicle but not injured.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Detroit Lakes Police Department, the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Essentia Health – St. Mary’s EMS.
