The University of Minnesota Extension in Otter Tail County and Miltona Greenhouses are excited to bring two apple tree grafting workshops to the residents of Otter Tail County.

The first workshop will be at 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 24 at the East Otter Tail Extension

Office, 118 North Main Ave, New York Mills. The second is at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 3, at the West Otter Tail County Extension office, 505 South Court Street, Fergus Falls. There is a $30 charge to attend.

Dave Vaske of Miltona Greenhouses will provide information on a variety of grafting techniques, and participants will graft and take home three apple trees from this workshop.

Available varieties include Honeycrisp, Honeygold, Harelson, Chestnut, Keepsake, NW Greening, Regent, and Zestar.

This workshop provides the opportunity for individuals to have fruit trees that work well in their environment and learn the age-old skill of tree grafting. Dave has taught more than 30 grafting classes over the years and will help set attendees up for success.
