Event to be hosted on May 10 in Vergas

The Vergas Arts Club is sponsoring a free event for the entire family, “Bring on Spring,” at the Event Center Saturday, May 10 at 10 a.m.

“Bring on Spring”will be held in Vergas, Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Vergas Event Center. The free event is for the whole family. It features May Pole Dancing, Mega Bubbles, Twisted Balloons, Flower Crowns, Dirt Cup Snacks, a Story Teller, and Planting a Flower for Mom.

The “Baron of Bubbles” will create bubbles the “size of refrigerators” while his partner, “The Twister Sister,” makes balloon animals to take home.  Each child can wear a flower crown provided by Leona’s Flowers while dancing around the May Pole, which signifies the arrival of Spring.  

Children can take a quiet break to hear Josh Kalina, storyteller spin a tale of wonder. Children will also be able to make a “Dirt Cup” snack complete with gummy worms; and then pot a flower to take home.

“Bring on Spring” is sponsored by the Vergas Arts Club in cooperation with the Vergas Community Club. Donations have been made by Franklin Fence Co., Billy’s Corner Bar, and Cross Roads Landscaping.
