0Hornets are currently in fourth place in the conference

Matthew Lindell, Tyler Lindell, Brodie Masbauch, Cayden Wallin, Adam Vigen and Ben Reierson competed for the boys golfers last week.
The Frazee boys again had three meets this week, which included a pair of varsity meets and one junior high/junior varsity meet.
The week started with the varsity playing at Wildflower. This was a very nice day to play the course as the wind was down.

Adam Vigen watches as his putt rolls toward the hole last week.
Ben Reierson had a nice front nine shooting a two over 38. The course plays really long, which may have contributed to a tough finish but still a good round none the less shooting 82.
Adam Vigen continues to play better and finished with an 84. Cayden Wallin was next in with an 85. Again his front nine was pretty solid, but faded a bit on the back.
The Hornets brought freshman Hunter Piekarski along to gain some experience and he was able to shoot 103. Head coach Jason Reierson said he thinks Piekarski took some good lessons home from this meet.
Rounding out the Hornets was Tyler Lindell who just wasn’t on his game and shot an uncharasistic 118. The Hornets were able to snag second place for the day as a team, which was great.
The second meet of the week was a JV/JH meet in Hawley. Frazee sent seven guys and they all competed pretty well.
Leading the young Hornets was Matthew Lindell. He shot 95 and was able to string together four pars in a row, which was impressive.
Tristan Maijala got a 105 and carded a couple nice pars also. Jonah Hanson shot 107, Grayson Wirth had a 115, Ashton Bristlin and Gavin Grossman both shot 117 and Ashton Gerving rounded out the Hornets with a 121.
The last meet of the week was a HOL matchup in Barnesville. There was no forecast for rain, but to start the meet it was raining. The good thing was there was no wind. Everyone in the field started out hot. The Hornets had a great day with three guys shooting in the 70s.
Ben Reierson, Cayden Wallin and Adam Vigen all at one point during the round were under par. Head coach Jason Reierson said it was fun to watch the guys play so well.
Ben Reierson shot a 74 two over par for seventh place, Cayden Wallin shot 76 for 10th place and Adam Vigen shot 78 for 15th. These scores may have been lower, but the weather totally changed to a very strong wind which made conditions difficult.
The other Hornets played well too. It took Brodie Masbauch a bit to get back in the groove but he was able to shoot 82. The Lindell brothers, Tyler and Matthew did well also shooting 92.
As a team, we attained their goal for team score and were able place second with a great total of 310. The Hornets currently rank fourth in the conference and will look to move up with a match in Perham this week.
