Duke Walter Muckey, 41, of Frazee, was sentenced in Becker County District Court for failure to fulfill registration requirements as a predatory offender, a felony.

Muckey was on supervised probation following a felony conviction for second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a victim under the age of 13. Muckey was required to register as a predatory offender for life and maintain accurate residence information with authorities.

Muckey’s probation officer reported to the Becker County Sheriff’s Office in November that Muckey had not reported in for several months. 

Muckey’s address was listed in Frazee, but the agent reported he was told by family members that Muckey had not been there, only stopping by occasionally. The family told the agent Muckey was living in Moorhead.

A County Investigator confirmed the probation officer’s information adding that Muckey was likely homeless in Moorhead.

State documents showed Muckey’s official address as the Frazee residence as of September of 2024 with no update since of a new address or of homeless status.

A warrant was issued on November 22, 2024.

Muckey was taken into custody in January. His probation was revoked. Muckey is currently incarcerated at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud.
