On May 24, two-year-old Micah Hedlund lost his life in a house fire. Around 12:46 a.m. a 911 call was placed to the Becker County Sheriff’s Office stating a house owned by Michael Hedlund, 48, and his wife Melissa, 46, was on fire. The house is located on Duffey Road in Rochert and the report made during the call stated two people were trapped inside. When the first deputy arrived the house was fully engulfed and one child was unaccounted for.
The Wannigan Regional Park Committee set tentative deadlines of having the final draft of the park plan, as well as discussed a minor hiccup. During the park committee meeting on Tuesday, May 26, the committee was informed the funds from the National Park Service that it planned to use to hire North Dakota State University staff and students to create a plan to place amenities, may not be an option.
While Great Britain and the U.S. went their separate ways 244 years ago, in the wake of the pandemic it is clear they are cut from the same cloth. Former Snellman resident Danika Sutherland and her husband John are still in England due to the pandemic. The 2011 Frazee High School graduate traveled across the ocean to spend Christmas with her in-laws and to do some traveling, but then the coronavirus hit and decisions were made to stay put.

Larry Quade plays taps for those participating in the Memorial Day services at the Vergas cemetery Monday. It was a great turnout according to veteran Ike Fischer.
They represent a cooperative effort, these new Welcome to Frazee bags which are now being given to new Frazee area residents. Community Club members Jerry and June Gibbons (June is the manager of the Frazee Tourist Center) thought up the idea of the tourist packet which is an important part of the bags.
Frazee will literally be bargain-seekers’ paradise Saturday. There will be over 40 rummage sales throughout the community, and many of them will be multi-party sales with bargain-priced items form literally hundreds of people. Most of the sales are starting between 7-9 a.m. Bargain-seekers are asked to be respectful of posted sale times at each location.

Forum goes Offset; Printed at Hawley Plant—Yes, this is the Frazee Forum but with a complete new look. Last week’s issue marked the end of an era of this newspaper being printed in the Frazee Forum office. We hope the newspaper will be able to do a better job in serving our area businesses, and you, our reader.
Parishioners at Sacred Heart Church in Frazee are planning to celebrate the 25th anniversary of ordination of their pastor, Father Daniel Noah, on Sunday, June 1, 1975. All Sacred Heart Church parishioners, Bishop Povish, priests and sisters of the Diocese; relatives and friends of Father Noah are invited. Father Noah was at assignments at Red Lake Falls, Mentor, Thief River Falls, Goodridge, Grygla, Middle River, Moorhead, Sabin-Dilworth, Plummer, Trail, Rhoda, Fosston, Stephen and Frazee. All Father Noah’s friends at these former assignments are especially invited.
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Evergreen will celebrate its 75th Anniversary on June 29, 1975. Special activities are planned for the day including worship services at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. The former Pastor E. T. Hilpert will be the main speaker for the services. The various choirs will participate in the worship, a film will be shown, and the congregation will put on a noon meal and an afternoon lunch.
