The Frazee boys golf team was recognized at its end of season golf scramble at the Frazee golf course last week.
The Frazee golf team held its annual golf banquet scramble last week and it was a smashing success because of all the people involved and the people that were willing to donate and play in the scramble. Golf scramble organizers wanted to thank the course for allowing the kids to play out there. It can be challenging to have 30 extra kids out there dodging the other customers. The course is in great shape as always. Thanks to the boosters, led by Tami Stock and Annie Vigen, for all the leg work required to put this on.
It was a year of firsts for the boys including: First HOL meet held with new conference members at Frazee,
multiple golfers scored in the 70’s in a single meet, the lowest team score ever, multiple all-conference winners, first state golfer under the guidance of head coach Jason Reierson, first time in position to win the section.
The Hornets had multiple spotlight on scholarship award winners. This requires a 3.0 or higher on their report cards. Shane Erickson, Adam Vigen, Cayden Walliin, Brodie Mausbach, Ben Reierson and Tristan Maijala.
The Hornets also handed out their letter winners. They must have recorded three competitive rounds in the 80’s. Adam Vigen, Cayden Wallin, Ben Reierson, Brodie Mausbach and Tyler Lindell were the recipients.
Frazee had their first captain ever in Cayden Wallin who was honored for his dedication and willingness to help with the younger golfers was chosen.
Frazee’s most improved golfer this season was Brodie Mausbach. He is so dedicated to getting better and it showed this season.
All of these guys have shown that they are willing to put in the work for us to be competitive next season.
