Solberg Insurance is proud to announce the addition of Morgan Solberg as a licensed insurance agent at the Frazee location.
Morgan is licensed in both Minnesota and North Dakota and brings energy, dedication, and a passion for helping individuals, families, and businesses protect what matters most.
She will be offering a full range of insurance services including: Life, Health, Medicare, Commercial, Home, Auto and Annuities.
Morgan is a licensed physical therapist and worked at the Sanford Sports, formerly Sanford POWER Center, in Fargo but the commute, a lack of flexibility and upward growth in the position led her to consider a career change.
“It got to the point where I was asking how long is this sustainable for,” she said.
Part of Morgan’s job is creating training manuals and logging processes for future employees.
“I like it but it’s been a challenge,” she said.
According to Brad Solberg, the company is long overdue on hiring as the business’ workload continues to increase. Running the company single-handedly and trying to create the process by which a new employee would come on board was challenging, timewise alone, and Morgan’s hire solved that problem.
“She’s really skilled on processes and procedures so that when the next person come on, it’s really tough to train them as it flows because you might do one activity today that takes 35 minutes—you might not run into that same activity for another five months or five minutes,” said Brad.
Morgan grew up on a farm in Lisbon, N.D., and graduated from Lisbon High School prior to earning her undergraduate degree in University Studies at North Dakota State University and then enrolled in Physical Therapy school earning her doctorate from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. She returned to Fargo, N.D., to work a post-doctorate residency with the NDSU Athletics Department.
She’s worked as a staff physical therapist at Sanford Sports for the past seven years. She also teaches martial arts.
Brad and Morgan met three years ago and married in 2024. The Solbergs tested out working as a duo on renovating a couple houses and timing brought them together in the insurance office.
“We work well together; it’s a strong suit of ours,” she said. “As time went on I was like, I’ll probably work for Brad someday. I didn’t think it would be now. I’m happy it’s happening now because I think the further down the road I would get the harder it is to go back and be a total beginner.”
Morgan is planning to use her favorite parts of physical therapy, education and counseling, in the insurance field as well.’
“How do you take something that is really complex and make it digestible and understandable for that person,” she said. “I’m excited to get into that.”
With Morgan’s addition, Solberg Insurance continues to grow and serve the needs of clients with personalized, trustworthy coverage solutions and that client list will be growing, as will the Frazee office.
Solberg Insurance will be expanding and moving into the downtown retail building upon completion of the infill construction later this year.
The company is also in the process of purchasing Nettestad Insurance in Pelican Rapids. The sale is set to close in early August and the Forum will have expanded coverage of that sale in our next issue.
