A new mayor for the community of Snellman is elected each summer during Snellman Days. This year, Don Gettel of Osage, was sworn in as the new mayor. Gettel will serve a one-year term from Aug. 30, 2025 to Sept. 5, 2026. Gettel is pictured being congratulated by Snellman Days Organizer Aune Longfors.
